In re: West Bengal's backwardness.

West Bengal's backwardness is seen from the fact that a minister stands accused of using undue influence to get his daughter employed an assistant teacher. In a developed state, children of corrupt ministers would be aggregating land & laundering money among other things.

Opposition parties need to be aware that irrespective of what else happens, #UttarPradesh is going to attract a lot of investment & not even in places like Noida/Meerut/Kanpur. Rather, in godforsaken places. Reasons include connectivity, cheap land & 'slave labor'.

Note: There is a view that investment doesn't go where there is strife. However that's in the longer run. The supposed moral aspect doesn't matter to Indian companies or even TNCs/MNCs when it comes to India. Actual strife does - but it doesn't exist to a prohibitive extent.
