In re: UP/UK governments' decision with respect to the Kanwar Yatra route

The decision of the UP/UK governments to require shops to indicate names of owners/ operators across the Kanwar Yatra route while being political & bad spirited is NOT divorced from reality.

That's where society is.

To claim that the 2024 UP LS result was a vote for "secularism" is ridiculous.

Rather it was a case of voters, having got what they wanted from the BJP , NOW seeking the opposition's far left economic offers. There were also fears about reservation which swung many votes.

PS: l am open to eating from Muslim run outlets - often do, I quite like them. How many India Alliance voters and indeed low level functionaries are so absolute in their openness? Don't behave like this the EU It's not - it's Bharat/India which is full of freaks.
