In re: Chandigarh

The proposed constitutional amendment with respect to UT Chandigarh wouldn't have really changed anything because the Governor of Indian Punjab (East Punjab) is also a nominee of the Central Government. So this controversy was more about sentiments than anything else.

The final settlement of the UT Chandigarh question is part of the unfinished business of reorganization.

WHAT can Haryana be given. Is the transfer of parts of Abohar & Fazilka still feasible? WHAT of the High Court & the most vexed of all - HOW will the waters be shared?

PS: WHAT if anything needs to be given to Himachal Pradesh as part of a final settlement? - I realised this angle while reading an interview of  Manish Tewari today.
