In re: The proposed 20% fee on Cargo going through the Strait of Hormuz

It's logical that the United States of the America, the only nation, that has the ability to put Iran in its place should be able to charge a fee for doing it.

Of course exemptions to the 20% fee can be worked out in bilateral trade deals.

President Donald J. Trump is doing the right thing.

PS: President Trump has now withdrawn the proposed fee and will instead negotiate trade deals with allies in the Middle East considering the above. This is a good alternative. [Note: I wrote this PS on 15.07.2026]
