In re: 1983 pension scheme propounder, Kapil Dev's comments on a podcast with Vikrant Gupta.

A few things stand out:
1. Kapil Dev is an opportunist, even more so than people, me included, tend to be. He didn't speak on Imran Khan during a recent simulcast with Pakistani broadcasters because of contractual issues  He's now doing it on a podcast to get applause from emotional people everywhere including Bharatiya peopleS who have become PTI fans for weird reasons.
2. The action against Imran Khan has certainly been excessive. However Pakistan was never known for democracy, judicial independence & concepts of the like. Note: India has always been better than Pakistan on such issues but nowhere near where most developed countries are.
3. That said: Some of the cases against Imran Khan are credible. Assuming that he was personally honest, he certainly surrounded himself with dodgy characters & took low rent legal, financial & political advice.

PS: There is too mch black and white everywhere. Balance is needed.
