In re: My statement on the Indian Express report about what has been happening at the Election Commission of India.

IF the two Election Commissioners who are said to have raised objections repeatedly, openly support the Press Release issed by the Election Commission of India, the matter will LOSE STEAM except with 'Seculars'.

If the matter remains at the level of the Press Release, with no statements either way from the said two Election Commissioners, this will remain a MID LEVEL political issue which will give diminishing marginal returns. 

If even one of the said two Election Commissioners openly confirms the news report, it will be a MASSIVE political issue which will harm the Bharatiya Janata Party greatly.

In re: My statement on French fries.

I avoid eating French fries. 
At restaurants:
- With steak, I ask for mashed potatoes &
- With burgers, I just leave the fries.
Exception: Sizzlers, where removing them may destroy the dish.
I do not get them made for myself at home.

 I am not a fitness freak. My point is that
- Things like burgers, kebabs, biryani & steaks are worh the calories. 
- On the vegetarian side things like palak pakoras, potato filled spicy samosas, Bengaluru dosas & Mumbai sandwiches are worth the calories.

In re: Russia, Ukraine, the Middle East, India and Bharatiya peopleS

Volodymyr Zelenskyy likely wants to escalate & drag the Europeans directly into the war with Russia. President Trump sees through this.

Unfortunately those in charge in Europe & their allies within the American political system keep falling into the traps he lays for them either, assuming that they are all honest actors.

That said, a larger war in Europe may NOT make things worse for Bharatiya peopleS. Given the situation that exists in the Middle East, Delhi NCR could become a major aviation hub after the Jewar Airport gets fully operational.

Remember - The existing Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi is one of the world’s busiest & best airports. The Hindon facility is already in existence in the National Capital Region. Add the metro network & existence of all classes of hotels all over the region.

This will lead to greater direct and institutional foreign investments which will also benefit other metropolitan regions since the domestic economy is interconnected. There will be job creation BUT not of the kind of highly skilled jobs which Bharatiya Yuva peopleS want.

This will benefit the smartest people who wish to make money and lead better lives – not ambitious BEWAKOOFS.

Of course, one should not hope for larger conflicts but then geopolitically, that is how economics works.

In re: The Delhi University elections.

I used to oppose student politics because it distracted from academics.

Now I support it because poorer & middle class students can make some money.

With limited employment opportunities at present & the likelihood of diminishing employment opportunities in the future in this era of Artificial Intelligence and automation, work as political goons can get some such students some social status in lovely Bharat.

PS: Many middle class female students can via student politics manage to get close to and sometimes succeed in marrying students from political families - Of course all know how that often turns out.

In re: The US Congress, President Trump, India & Bharatiya peopleS.

The Bill championed by Late Senator Lindsay Graham gives President Trump the power to impose up massive tariffs on countries like India which do business with Russia and Iran.

This is vital leverage in trade negotiations with India.

India's long term interests are inextricably tied to the United States of America and Israel.

India should show flexibility in negotiations & avoid high tarrifs.

In re: The unnecessary controversy about the vegetarian menu at the BRICS dinner on 12th September, 2026. 

The comments on the vegetarians menu at the BRICS dinner on 12th September are silly. A majority of BJP voters nationwide are vegetarians. What is their incentive to diversify the food they promote at the national level? 

Objections make sense when BJP controlled authorities impose arbitrary meat bans on citizens.

If your host is a vegetarian, getting annoyed about meat not being served shows HORRID UPBRINGING. Complaints about quality & taste are fine.

I eat vegetarian food most of the time and consume meat usually on weekends & when traveling, Had I gone to a party with that menu, I would have skipped the starters & had multiple helpings of Paneer Lababdar, the Gucchi Dish, Rice & Raita followed by Fruit Cream for dessert.

That apart, when I go to a WORK related gathering when the food doesn't match my requirements, I merely have a Diet Coke or Fresh Lime Soda. 

PS: The 'Neech Pravritti ke log' who think that I am against meat eating should know that, in main course last night I had a buffalo meat steak followed by left over chicken of others. For many such people, so-called nonVaaage is the chick-khun they order from Swiggy/Zomato. 

In re: What an President can do, if he wishes. 

The extent of the powers of an Indian President have never been tested in the Courts.

Say a President dismisses a Prime Minister a few weeks or months after a general election & appoints anyone he likes as the Care-taker Prime Minister.

Q: What does the now former Prime Minister do?
A: Maybe go to the Supreme Court.

Q: Say the Supreme Court directs that the Prime Minister be reinstated but the President refuses to do so. Who is expected to execute the Supreme Court's order? 
A: Possibly the Military - most of the top officers of which would have been appointed by the party to which the President belonged.

Q: If the Military refuses to do so, what can the former Prime Minister do?
A: Try and remove the President.

Q: How is an Indian President removed?
A: Impeachment requiring 2/3rds majorities of a majority of members of both houses of Parliament sitting separately. Such numbers cannot usually be achieved without the party to which the President belonged. 
So even if the former Prime Minister manages to initiate impeachment, which too is difficult, it would be most likely to fail.

Q: What next? 
A: I leave it to your imagination.

In re: News reports about the Government of India having released the flight timings of world leaders arriving in India for the BRICS SUMMIT. 

Many Bharatiya peopleS will be discussing this & connected News on Maarning Waake as if world leaders are going to be coming to their apartment complexes or colonies, for flat hoisting, jalebi-kachori eating, chai with feeki chai option for health reasons, conversation and widespread flatulence.

In re: Great weather & wonderful selfless people.

I really like Delhi's weather around September & early October because of:

• Warm days with lower humidity,
• Pleasant evenings and nights &
• Blue skies thanks to relatively low pollution because the lovely farmers who we are obliged to don't yet start burning lovely farm fires. 

In re: My response to a prominent industrialist’s comments on X, suggesting that Khan Market is a place frequented only by elites.

Khan Market is NOT a place frequented only by elites inter alia because:

1. Many middle class lawyers visit due to proximity of courts.
2. Many Middle class journalists & CCD level brokers visit due to proximity of courts & power centres.
3. The metro has led to middle class window shopping foot fall.

In re: The "Say na something to Anupam Uncle." country.

Many Hindi news channels are interviewing young students in Delhi. 

I find many of them unnecessarily speaking a mix of bad English & incompetent Hindi within sentances. 

This is not new. It's just more widespread.

The future of this country does not look good.

Using multiple languages is not an issue.

Understand what I have issues with:

• "Mujhe XYZ restaurant ka khana bahut pasand hai. It's fantastic."  - that's fine. Even I talk like that.

• "XYZ restaurant ka food main bahut like karta hoon." - disgusting. Note: If you talk like this, I think that you are a freak. If I am in regular touch with you in spite of that, it's only because you are useful.

In re: The tragedy at Satya Niketan in New Delhi &what the government and political parties should do.

Q: Why do students from other parts of India come to Delhi to study?
A: Achievement culture & aspirations, both incompatible with today's economy for almost all people, in this era of Artificial Intelligence and Automation.

Q: Why do coaching centers and paying guest accommodations thrive in urbanised villages?
A: Because of the special protections that politicians across party lines have given illegal constructions there & because building by laws do not apply fully to them.

Q: What should the government and political parties do?
A: 1. Be honest with students and tell them to adjust their ambitions to realities &
2. Crack down on unauthorised constructions and apply by laws fully to urbanised villages - Lal Dora areas.

Q: Will the government and political parties a do either of the above?
A: No

Therefore, this is a third class country full of third class people.

In re: How. Bharatiya peopleS will ruin Canada's future, further.

I came across news reports that Canada has lost 41,700 jobs in August as their trade war with the United States of America continues.

Trade Wars apart, the kids of Bharatiya peopleS who have taken Permenent Residency will grow up as Canadian Citizens & get into the job market which is rapidly shrinking in this era of Artificial Intelligence & automation. 

Justin Trudeau destroyed Canada's future through his immigration policies. The full impact is yet to come.

In re: My disinterest in Teacher's Day.

This Teacher's Day thing is more relevant for people from less prosperous economic backgrounds.

I hardly managed to learn anything from school or college teachers.

Initially my mother taught me, then I had commercial tution teachers & towards the end I taught myself.

Growing up in a commercial city like Mumbai had an impact on my having zero interest in things like Teacher's Day.

I guess interest in this day is more in Delhi even among affording classes given the city's thriving academic & linked NGO culture.

I am sure that such interest is a LOT more among prosperous provincial freaks who live in or have recently moved to metropolitan cities from Tier 2 cities given prevalent value systems.

In re: The fundamental dishonesty of political parties and many influential people which is going to lead to different levels of Civil War among other horrible outcomes.

India's future is at great risk because of political parties and many influential people refusing to be honest with students and other young people. The reality is that almost everyone who is a student today is going to be underemployed soon. Many if not most of them are going to be unemployed. Most of those who manage to get into permanent government jobs are going to be useless people drawing salaries and thereafter pensions.

Money which should be spent on expanding direct tax benefits and other forms of welfare is going to continue to be spent on filling artificial vacancies, funding mostly useless higher education and increasingly obsolete skills in this era of Artificial Intelligence and Automation.

This is going to lead to a situation where many supposedly educated and supposedly skilled people will turn to crime. There will be class wars and new forms of nationalism. This will be in addition to social strife which is in any case increasing on account of groups that are adversarial and increasingly adversarial to each other. Add to that, external military as well as economic threats.

The only way out of this is to be honest with young people, to tell them to take up whatever jobs are available while they are and to increase welfare spending to ensure that as many people as possible lead better lifestyles.

India has to move towards ensuring Universal Basic Income. Any other approach will lead to different levels of Civil War among other horrible outcomes.

Be warned.

Anyway, since hardly anyone, if anyone, who matters is going to listen to me, let ‘Va-kan-cees’ be filled and let dreams continue to be sold to the ‘Aaj Ke Bacche jo bahut In-te-LI-GENT hai’.

In re: Reports that President Trump is planning to end the war in Iran. 

If these reports are true, they make a lot of sense.

With the Venezuela deal in place, President Trump can end the war with Iran without any danger to the energy security of the United States or major price disruptions for American citizens.

The economic disruptions created will ensure that the United States of America will stay ahead of the so-called Global South.

To protect Israel, US military bases can be set up in that country.

In re: Delivery Jobs in India.

Delivery jobs are the highest category of livelihood that most Bharatiya peopleS who are delivery boys are going to get.

Encouraging them to study will in almost all cases destroy personal lives, deplete savings & lead to no commercial benefit.

Their working conditions & wages need to be improved instead.

No political party has the courage to be even somewhat honest on this issue.
